Jacqueline Vazquez has been in the Business industry for over 20 years with roles in Accounting, Management, and Project Management. Within that time she developed her skills in event planning, and decided to pursue a career in Event Planning and Project Management.  As a true Professional, she is credited in knowing what her clients want and need, in addition to guiding and assisting them in making their event a reality. Little did she know that being a Mentor, Educator, Speaker, Expert and Facilitator would be added to the list.

Jacqueline is dedicated in all that she does. To ensure that everything goes smooth and to the expectations of her clients and colleagues, she leaves no stone unturned.   She has a  passion for planning and creating special and memorable events.  She has a passion for sharing and team building: As a mentor Jacqueline says, “It is a huge responsibility being acknowledged as a “Mentor”, and I am proud to be known as one.  I work diligently with my professional colleagues to build a trusting relationship and bond which is very rewarding.”

Jacqueline’s comment on competition in the industry, “I do not believe in competition, but I do believe in ensuring that others are in the right path.  It just takes one person to make everyone look bad in your profession. So why not teach, share, and a build a team of knowledgeable professional with common interests.”

Her recent endeavor has been speaking in industry events, meetings, conferences, and teaching at Lehman College future Wedding and Event Professionals. In addition to owning and operating her event planning company, Jacqueline is actively involved  in different Associations, Volunteers Programs, and continues to learn and grow.

Jacqueline’s Mentor

Finding a mentor who is understanding, honest, encouraging, and non judgmental is not an easy task.  when I started my career in Event/Wedding Planning, my first step was education and certification.  I took the Weddings Beautiful certification which was personally graded by the President of the Education program at the time, Nancy Tucker.  With a background in planning, her comments and suggestions were encouraging.  Never did I feel intimidated or dumb.  That’s where our relationship grew.  This was in 2007, now 5 years later in 2012 she continues to be my Mentor.  She is well deserving of the title.  I would like to say that I am following in some of her footsteps, in encouraging others.  Hence, Classy & Inspiring.

Training, Education & Experience Background

Jacqueline’s training and professional experience includes: the Association of Bridal Consultants Professional Development Program in which she received the Professional Bridal Consultant Designation, PBC™ as a Distinguished Graduate. In June 2011, she achieved the second level designation by the Association of Bridal Consultants – Accredited Bridal Consultant Designation, ABC™.  This designation is given based on the quality and proficiency of a Consultants Educational and Professional background, Professional Industry Experience, Leadership Participation, and Professional Industry Contributions. Jacqueline has also received training from Weddings Beautiful Worldwide and was the first to attain both the Certified Wedding Planner™ and Certified Wedding Specialist™ Certifications.

She majored in Accounting at Bernard Baruch College, NY, where she received her Bachelor in Business Administration.

Jacqueline led a successful project implementation team for 2 years as a Project Manager, which impacted 1500 staff members of a private New York Hospital.  Project management is a discipline which involves planning, organizing, securing, managing resources and budgets to achieve a specific goal. Implementing such an enormous transformation included initiation and creation, planning and design, execution and implementation, training (clerical to mid-level to executive staff), monitoring and controlling systems, daily and weekly management communications, and successful completion. These are all skills used to create smooth and successful and memorable event.

Volunteer Work

Jacqueline has been participating in her local community, including being an Active/Proud member of the Eastchester/Tuckahoe Chamber of Commerce and Scarsdale Chamber of Commerce, and looks forward to working more with her community.  Jacqueline believes in giving back by volunteering with Gilda’s Club of Westchester, Girls Inc of Westchester, and Operation Prom.  She also sponsors the Alive at 25 a  National Safety Council program for teens and young adults ages 15 and 24.  This program teaches teens/young adults about making the right “Choices” when it comes to driving defensively whether they are driving or someone else. They feel strongly about promoting safety for teens/young adults.
